Cake Smash
A first birthday is such a special milestone and my cake smash sessions are designed to celebrate it in the most joyful, memorable way. These sessions are relaxed, fun and completely centred around your little one, capturing their personality, curiosity and all the adorable reactions that cone with exploring cake, quite often for the very first time!
Your session begins gently giving your little one time to settle in and explore. I start by photographing them with a selection of wooden sensory toys and balloons, simple, beautiful elements that encourage natural play and curiosity. These moments always create the sweetest, most genuine expressions as your baby warms up and feels at ease in the studio.
Once they are comfortable, we move on to some classic beautifully styled birthday portraits, perfect for aimless keepsakes. Then comes the cake! Whether your little one dives straight in, cautiously pokes at the icing or just giggles at the mess the reaction is captured as it unfolds. There is no expectation for how they “should” behave, their real personality and joy are the stars of the session.
